Dr. Janet MacDonald

 

 

Janet MacDonald received her Ph.D. majoring in theatre for youth from Arizona State University in 1999, where she was also awarded the 1998/99 Distinguished Graduate Teacher Assistant Award for her work in the College of Fine Arts.

Aspects of her dissertation and other research projects have been published in the NADIE (Drama Australia) Journal, Youth Arts Queensland Papers and the Nation Drama Association in the United Kingdom. Dr. McDonald has been a high school Drama teacher since 1987 and is currently lecturing in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba. Her current research interests include: regional youth theatre models and a longevity project on the developing awareness of masculinities among male actors-in-training at USQ.
