Jill Kinnear

BA, M.V.A.

 

Jill Kinnear is a full-time Queensland-based artist and designer.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland, and a Master of Visual Arts (Research) from the University of Southern Queensland. 

She has completed commissions for clients in both public and private sectors including extensive public artworks for Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane and Queensland Transport’s Busway tunnels, Brisbane.  Her solo exhibition ‘The Ratio of Distance’ travelled through Queensland and northern New South Wales from 1999 - 2001. 

Her work has appeared in various publications, including her own book, and she has received numerous grants and awards, the most recent being a Churchill Fellowship for travel in Spain in 2004.
