on August 12-13 2005
to mark the
60th anniversary of the end of
World War 2

Highlights

· ARC Professorial fellow Robert Dixon will talk about photography, spiritualism and the First World War

· Warbird flypast by Matt Handley from Aerotec Flying School on Saturday 13th August and joyflights in Boeing Stearman, T28 Trojan and CT4E military aircraft available at Toowoomba airport Sunday 14th August.

· Military vehicle display by Military Jeep Club (Qld)

· Public lectures on Saturday at 1:00 pmon ‘Diggerspeak’ and ‘Veterans’ Memories of the Battle of Milne Bay’ . 

· Two days (Friday and Saturday) of presentations by cultural historians from south-east Queensland on Australians involvement in conflicts at home and abroad over the last two hundred years.
